Welding Art


I found this fine picture of welders at work on http://www.artdecocollection.com/

Isn't it lovely? It is by Henri Quittelier who died in 1980 at the age of 96, having painted all his life. He was a pupil of Emile Fabry at the Academie des Beaus Arts Brussels, and later became co-founder and president of the Ukkel Art Center in Belgium.

Welding can be art too!

    Yes, it reminds me of passengers in an Aeroflot aeroplane adopting the "brace position" just before a crash landing!
